We’ve received positive feedback from the conservation officer on this truly one-of-a-kind project.
DB Space has now been appointed to deliver this stunning building, which will form part of the regeneration of a listed folly. Subject to planning approval in the coming months, we’re aiming to begin on site in mid-summer.
This is an exciting opportunity for us to collaborate with a highly talented architect and skilled local craftsman, who will be leading the restoration of the folly itself.
We welcome enquiries from developers, architects, and project managers seeking an economical and environmentally conscious build partner. Our system is well suited to working within complex planning conditions and sensitive conservation settings.
While we were not involved in the architectural design, we supported the planning process by providing the building control package, visual renders, and a full video flythrough.
If approved, the project will be delivered under strict regulations, including close coordination with tree preservation consultants to ensure the protection of the surrounding ecology.
This is exactly the type of project where modern methods of construction can succeed, where traditional approaches simply wouldn’t be viable.

Our client needed a dedicated space for streaming, away from the distractions of a busy family home. We transformed an unused area into a high-performance studio, upgrading the insulation and soundproofing from our standard specification.
The result is a space that’s incredibly energy efficient, easy to heat, and delivers excellent sound quality thanks to the acoustic panelling we supplied and installed from Wood Up.
