This extension in Barnard Castle demonstrates how light gauge steel frame construction can successfully combine architectural character with modern performance.

Natural quartz wall cladding was selected to introduce depth, texture, and tonal warmth, centred around subtle grey hues that complement the existing property. Crisp detailing is achieved through GreenCoat aluminium parapets and rainwater goods, chosen for both their refined appearance and long-term durability.

The structure is supported by engineered ground screw foundations, enabling accurate installation with minimal ground disturbance. Aluminium glazing enhances natural light within the space while maintaining a clean, contemporary finish externally.

The completed extension is a carefully detailed addition that balances traditional material character with precision-engineered construction, delivering both aesthetic quality and lasting performance.
